There is no such thing as a typical bingo player. Bingo has become a universal online game and is considered what they call ‘soft gaming’ but gambling nonetheless. Bingo has attracted all types of people to the online scene and to stereotype this person would be impossible.
I have been part of the Bingo industry for many years now and have come across all types of people, most of which are fun and serious about their game. Bingo players are very territorial and very loyal if treated the correct way. I don’t think the owners of these sites understand just how important excellent customer service is to the Bingo Player. Most Bingo players are there for the love of the game and the fun that comes with it, yeah sure of course they enjoy winning but it is more than just winning when talking about most Bingo players.
The Bingo player needs to be informed and they also need to feel that if they have a query about their money they can email anytime and feel confident they will get an adequate response. I think these big flashy Bingo sites forget just how easy it is to make a loyal patron out of most Bingo players. I think they get so lost in the concept of making money that they forget that the most important part of their business is the loyal bingo player that keeps coming back to be part of the Bingo community they have provided.
On the internet you see Bingo sites come and go and believe me it is a ruthless industry. The Bingo site is started with the main intention to provide a great player experience BUT once the money starts rolling in they tend to forget the most important thing which is providing the best possible experience and service to the Bingo player rather than screwing them for every cent they can get.
As a Bingo player I would like to know that if I spend my money at my preferred site that I am going to see some return and if I don’t I would like to walk away knowing that I at least had fun whilst I was there. I like to get to know the staff ie Chat moderators, Customer Support and Accounts to a point where I trust that if I win, lose or I feel cheated that I can go to someone or somewhere and achieve an instant reply, not an automated reply saying ‘your issue will be investigated and reply will be generated ASAP’ cause to me that is like them saying ‘Too bad, you spent your money now and we will get back to you when and if we feel like it’ and most of which don’t immediately.
I don’t feel it is necessary to mention any Bingo site names in my article because at this stage I don’t feel it is necessary. I can say though that I have visited many sites and played at many also and I quite often see the Bingo sites start out small and they emphasize the importance of the Bingo Player, they then continue to grow and expand providing the player with more sister sites to visit. Bingo players are there to play bingo but the reasons they stay are a little more complex than that. They stay because they see some return for what they have spent, they enjoy the chat community, they enjoy the games they are being offered and mainly because they are treated well and they establish a rapport with the people willing to help them when they require assistance – The Customer Support team. The sites I have chosen to play at I know most of the Support team and I have acquired a trusting relationship with but these big Bingo sites expand their business not focussing on the most important department and that is Bingo Player Customer Support.
The Bingo site owners that spend millions of dollars trying to offer games to the Bingo player for the sole reason of making money are in the wrong business. Bingo is a purely people game and they need to consider the community and the benefits that the Bingo player expects and requires to feel comfortable enough to stay which increases player retention. Please don’t think I have the answers but I do know as a bingo player myself that if I decide to spend money at a bingo site I expect to be treated like a person not like a dollar sign.
If ever I have a query about the bingo game and especially about my money I like to know that I can send an email anytime of the day and I can expect to receive a reply within an adequate time frame and with an adequate response to my email. Not a big ask I don’t think!! Ultimately, it is the Bingo player that keeps these sites alive and if they are investing their money to play Bingo at that site the least that these players can expect is a suitable answer to their query.
So basically, come on all you site owners, consider the importance of your team and start promoting them to the Bingo Player community. Stop trying to entice the Bingo player to your site with promises of endless bonuses and making the Bingo Player feel they are your bottomless pit of profit!!

A Jefferson Circuit Court judge has stuck down a district court order that prohibited the Louisville Metro Health Department from enforcing the city’s old smoking ban in bingo halls.
A district judge had ruled in April that the bingo halls are private clubs and exempt from the ordinance.
But in a Dec. 28 ruling, Jefferson Circuit Judge W. Douglas Kemper ruled that District Judge Sheila Collins exceeded her authority in striking down the ordinance as it relates to bingo halls.
He ruled that state law only allowed her to determine if the Louisville Metro Code Enforcement Board of Appeals acted arbitrarily.
The Jefferson County Attorney’s office only obtained a copy of the Circuit Court order this week.
Kemper effectively ruled that if the bingo halls want to challenge the ordinance, they must file a separate suit in Jefferson Circuit Court.
Kemper remanded the case to district court and ordered the judge to make a finding as to whether the code enforcement board acted arbitrarily.
Whatever the final outcome of the case, it will probably not matter in July, when a new smoking ordinance takes effect that bans smoking in virtually every work place.
