If you play bingo on line as much as I do then chances are you are familiar with the bingo chat roomies. They come from all walks of life and are all ages. So since you are familiar with the chat roomies, you have your favorites, and your not so favorite bingo roomies.
There are the roomies who are always pleasant and warm. They welcome you and are happy to see you in the bingo chat. These are the bingo roomies who go above and beyond, like calling out the number you need and rooting you on to a bingo wins. They are happy for you when you get bingo and very sorry for you when the number you needed for bingo does not come out. These are your bingo friends and you do the same for them. Some of these bingo buddies have you email or even your phone number and you chat on the phone while you play bingo. They may even know you personally and hang out with you from time to time. I had my sister in the bingo chat room a few times and we just have a blast playing bingo together. We both have instant messaging, so we can alert the other when we are about to play bingo and be together. It’s fun to watch someone you know intimately win a big bingo jackpot. She did once, I didn’t, yet I was happy for her and knew she would fund my bingo account as soon as she cashed out.
Then there are the roomies you really don’t know very well. You go in the bingo chat room and say hello to them, but you really don’t talk to them personally. You don’t discuss your spouse or your kids with them; you don’t feel connected to them like you do to your bingo buddies. Whether they win or lose bingo is of no consequence to you at all, you have nothing invested in them.
Which brings me to the bingo roomies who I really don’t care for at all. These are the bingo roomies who whine and complain about not winning bingo. They are actually annoyed at other bingo players for winning and make their feelings known in the bingo chat. Making comments that are better left unsaid. I don’t like to hear bingo players make comments to others that have won which I consider to be derogatory. Not only does it bring everyone in the bingo chat room down, but it makes me feel like I need to counter comment to help out the bingo player who won, which gets me involved with a bingo roomies I don’t like.
You have to ask yourself what kind of roomies are you? Are you happy when other players win, and just chalk it up, like you’ll get bingo next time? Or do you get so annoyed and frustrated at not getting a bingo that you lash out at the bingo player who wins? If you are not winning and are getting frustrated maybe it’s time to log off or take a break from bingo, rather than cause an uproar and ruins the karma in the bingo chat room.

A Jefferson Circuit Court judge has stuck down a district court order that prohibited the Louisville Metro Health Department from enforcing the city’s old smoking ban in bingo halls.
A district judge had ruled in April that the bingo halls are private clubs and exempt from the ordinance.
But in a Dec. 28 ruling, Jefferson Circuit Judge W. Douglas Kemper ruled that District Judge Sheila Collins exceeded her authority in striking down the ordinance as it relates to bingo halls.
He ruled that state law only allowed her to determine if the Louisville Metro Code Enforcement Board of Appeals acted arbitrarily.
The Jefferson County Attorney’s office only obtained a copy of the Circuit Court order this week.
Kemper effectively ruled that if the bingo halls want to challenge the ordinance, they must file a separate suit in Jefferson Circuit Court.
Kemper remanded the case to district court and ordered the judge to make a finding as to whether the code enforcement board acted arbitrarily.
Whatever the final outcome of the case, it will probably not matter in July, when a new smoking ordinance takes effect that bans smoking in virtually every work place.
