The Need for Speed
Today I have decided that I want to play bingo. I am bored and going crazy with nothing to do. Everything I want to do just takes too much time to get done and I am not in the mood to be patient, so forget about it. I am just going to play some bingo.
I have now logged into one of many online bingo sites and made a small deposit. $25.00. That is all that I am going to need because my wins are going to come to me quickly because I have the need for speed. I have now purchased my bingo cards and am waiting for the game begin. Oh no, it’s a coverall game. LONG GAME. The caller begins: B10…….. 15 seconds later O69………15 seconds later N31……. Oh my gosh, this is going to take FOREVER. I am already going nuts sitting here just waiting for the next call. Why does this caller have to take so dang long? Doesn’t she understand that I am not in a patient mood whatsoever? Finally, 9 minutes later, the game is over and guess what? I didn’t win. Ok, lets try another game. What???? Another coverall game. This is ridiculous. I can’t handle another 9 minutes of this whiny voice. Oh well, I purchased a slew of cards and better watch. WOOHOO BINGO. $100.00. Off to the cash out button I go. Phew, glad that is over, but I still want to play bingo but I can’t handle waiting 9 minutes for a game to finish. Let me see what else I have here.
Ok, let’s go to Bingogang. Log in; go into chat to see what is going on. CL Serena says, "200% matching deposit bonus.WOOHOO I am heading for the cashier right now and depositing the $100.00 that I just won. WOW $300.00 in my account. That’s a nice and sweet balance. Thank you Bingogang. Ok, now lets buy some cards. Its coveralls only in the BOB Blackout room. My patience isn’t going to hold out. I can see it now. Oh well, it was a nice deposit bonus so I will grin and bear it for a bit. I have my cards and let me see what the bingo chat game is. CL Serena says: “Chat game is Charades. All players in chat can participate by solving the charade and winning 1.00 per correct solve. The catch is, the player that solves the charade must do the next one in chat.” Ok, that sounds interesting. Sounds like this won’t be so bad after all. The bingo game begins. O72..N31..G58 wow, this is fast. There are only 6 seconds between calls!!!! This is totally awesome. Chat is flying. Roomies are trying to guess the charade. Oh, I know the answer as I type into chat, “Stairway to Heaven” CL Serena says, “WTG 1.00 and the floor” I win, I win, I win. I am now going to do a charade and oh wow, I have a green card. I just won bingo. WOOHOOO. All of this just transpired in less than 6 minutes. WOW, my need for speed has been fulfilled. Thank you Thank you Thank you.

Smoking ban still applies to bingo halls
A Jefferson Circuit Court judge has stuck down a district court order that prohibited the Louisville Metro Health Department from enforcing the city’s old smoking ban in bingo halls.
A district judge had ruled in April that the bingo halls are private clubs and exempt from the ordinance.
But in a Dec. 28 ruling, Jefferson Circuit Judge W. Douglas Kemper ruled that District Judge Sheila Collins exceeded her authority in striking down the ordinance as it relates to bingo halls.
He ruled that state law only allowed her to determine if the Louisville Metro Code Enforcement Board of Appeals acted arbitrarily.
The Jefferson County Attorney’s office only obtained a copy of the Circuit Court order this week.
Kemper effectively ruled that if the bingo halls want to challenge the ordinance, they must file a separate suit in Jefferson Circuit Court.
Kemper remanded the case to district court and ordered the judge to make a finding as to whether the code enforcement board acted arbitrarily.
Whatever the final outcome of the case, it will probably not matter in July, when a new smoking ordinance takes effect that bans smoking in virtually every work place.
