Blackout bingo (BOB) is a new addition to the Bingoworkz family. As of June 4th, 2004, the room will be open from 7pm-midnight daily. The BOB bingo room only plays blackout patterns and is played every 6 minutes. The cost of cards is .25-1.00 depending on the time that you are playing. All cards can only be purchased using cash BUT the chat games payout in cash as well. The prizes in the BOB bingo room tend to be a bit higher with fewer players due to the fact that only cash is being used to purchase the cards. Chat games are played from 8pm-midnight as well.
The BOB room has some of its own uniqueness. Due to the fact that there is a smaller crowd in the room, conversations amongst the bingo players is easier to follow. Sometimes it seems a bit slow in chat but then all of a sudden, the room is rolling with conversation. Many of the same bingo players come to BOB every night. The atmosphere is one where a bingo player feels like it is their 2nd home. The come into chat and talk about their day, good or bad and just feel like they are talking with some of their lifelong friends. Some of the bingo players in the BOB room don’t even use their player names. They go by their real first name. Talk about comfy!!!
Another aspect of the BOB room that is unique from the other rooms is the Super Vegas Jackpot Hour between 10pm and 11pm every night. During this hour, there is a progressive jackpot that decreases each game as the ball condition to win it on increases. Monday – Thursday, the progressive starts at $2500.00 and drops to $50.00 on the last game of the hour (10:58pm). Friday – Sunday, the progressive starts at $10,000.00 and decreases to $100.00 on the last game. The progressive hasn’t been won yet but I KNOW IT WILL.
The BOB bingo room also has a big game every night at 11:58pm. This is called the Top of BOB. A percentage of every game prior to the TOB game goes into the prize. The TOB is won every night as there is no ball condition whatsoever on this game. The prize has been well over $1000.00 almost every night and you can prebuy cards for this game at anytime by going to your BUY CARDS menu then click on FOR TOP GAMES and then click on FOR TOB and then enter your amount of cards you wish to purchase.
The BOB room has a variety of chat games. As of June 4th, the new schedule will be posted. Most chat games in the BOB room are chat participation games. We like to visit and enjoy the room so our chat games cater to the chatters. We do however have a few games that you can just set your auto and forget it such as mini horse races, keno and team races. On the schedule, there is a chat game description for all the chat games and if you have any questions, just come to the BOB chatroom and ask.
I hope that this will help you to have a better understanding of the Blackout BOB bingo room. It isn’t just blackouts; it’s a chat full of fun for all.

A Jefferson Circuit Court judge has stuck down a district court order that prohibited the Louisville Metro Health Department from enforcing the city’s old smoking ban in bingo halls.
A district judge had ruled in April that the bingo halls are private clubs and exempt from the ordinance.
But in a Dec. 28 ruling, Jefferson Circuit Judge W. Douglas Kemper ruled that District Judge Sheila Collins exceeded her authority in striking down the ordinance as it relates to bingo halls.
He ruled that state law only allowed her to determine if the Louisville Metro Code Enforcement Board of Appeals acted arbitrarily.
The Jefferson County Attorney’s office only obtained a copy of the Circuit Court order this week.
Kemper effectively ruled that if the bingo halls want to challenge the ordinance, they must file a separate suit in Jefferson Circuit Court.
Kemper remanded the case to district court and ordered the judge to make a finding as to whether the code enforcement board acted arbitrarily.
Whatever the final outcome of the case, it will probably not matter in July, when a new smoking ordinance takes effect that bans smoking in virtually every work place.
